I'm a Texan visiting India for 6 weeks. I know all about avoiding data usage and roaming. My hotel has wi-fi and I have connected to it. The phone tells me that I'm connected and that the signal strength is excellent. However when I connected my laptop to it I had to enter my room number and name for confirmation. So my phone tells me that I am connected however i can't connect with any of my apps ie. mail, calendar, market. Does anyone have a suggestion. I do keep it in airplane mode.
