Why does page reload when I back out of message text boxes?

I'm using a droid x with default browser or opera.

After I type a message I press the back button. The page reloads then. I have to wait for reload to complete before submitting message, which takes another, expected, reload.

A lot of times I lose the message. I've gotten in the habit of copying the message to clipboard before doing anything because of it. I also accidentally double posted once because of it.

Sometimes, instead of my message disappearing, the title disappears instead. Either way I get an error message when submitting.

Has anyone else had these problems?
