Why does it asks me to force close text messaging when I'm trying to text?

Very time I'm checking my messages ...the activity slows down and freezes ...then it asks me to force close or wait.....hobo I fix this? Would greatly appreciate if any one can help

If you have a task killer or an antivirus app installed I would uninstall it and reboot your phone. They do more harm than good.
