sms force close & deletes all messages 3-4X/day

I hate this phone. 3-4x per day I'm texting and it give me a "force close" and i have to power off and turn back on just to get the messaging to work again and then all my messages are gone (so I'm missing messages or asking people to resend last message). I'm only using the default message program and I'm not anywhere close to have too many messages. Someone please tell me how to fix this before i throw this piece of crap away!!

I'm not sure why you're having these issues. Why don't you try using the Handcent app from the market. Handcent is WAYYYY better than the stock messaging app and i'm pretty sure 99% of the ppl in here use it. If that doesn't solve your problem maybe you have a defective droid. Good luck!
