I have been reading this forum for a while now and am only now starting to post. It took me three weeks to notice that I had a PM asking me to post one of these.
I am an avid and very happy user of my OG Droid.
A little before Thanksgiving I was finally talked into rooting my phone. Then I found out how easy it was to backup and install new ROMs with Rom manager and Titanium backup and I have never looked back. I am now a ROM hopper. If I haven't installed a new ROM in a week I feel edgy. My favorites are Bugless Beast (This is my standard), Liquid Frozen Yogurt and MIUI (though I never stay on that one for long).
I am a computer engineer by trade and education.
I have a feeling that it is only a matter of time before I am coding up either my own kernel, ROM or app. I am just feeling the pull.
