Weather App and GPS

As of late my weather widget will only display a notification that my location is unavailable. It does appear that my GPS is just having some difficulty in general as google maps and a compass app i have are not working properly. Any thoughts would be very appreciated.

I called Verizon yesterday about my above issue. They advised me to do a factory data reset which i did. Still having the problem. Anyone else had this issue?

I have the same issue. It worked fine for the first few days, but then nothing. My wife's GPS/weather on her droid works just fine. I just started looking for the answer, hopefully I'll find something. I'll let you know if I do.

Thanks for the response Rulkiewicz. Wish it was better news, but it is nice to find someone else sharing my problem. In fact we are having the exact same issue down to the wives phones working fine. I think they are somehow stealing our gps signal. Maybe the believe they are entitled to half of it which in turn is not enough information left for our phones to get an accurate fix. Leaving us with the inablity to check the weather without going outside, or seeing if my phone says that I am actually where I know I am. So i suppose that my need for gps is not so dire, but I feel very strongly that if I would like to locate myself on Google maps as I sit on my couch in my apartment and say "hey, look at that. It even shows me in the right side of our building.", then dammit I should have that ability.

I rebooted a few times and it worked for 6-8 hours yesterday afternoon, but now it's broke again. What a pain.

I had a problem where the Location function was being disabled by some other app. I never figured out what app it was, but re-enabling it a couple times seemed to fix it.
