We have another bit of intriguing intel which was leaked regarding the Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Droid MAXX 2. According to leaked Verizon docs (we told you they sprang a leak), both of these devices will NOT feature enough IPX7 certification to allow use under water. They will have light water resistance, so they will probably be fine under light rain or splashes, so they aren't completely unprotected.

Supposedly, Motorola chose to use the same nanocoating tech that is found in the first gen Droid Turbo. Here at HQ, we aren't too broken up about this. If the rumors of a shatterproof screen are true, then that is far more valuable to most users than being able to use the device while swimming...

Thanks for the tip, anonymous!
