using a non-activated droid

can i use gps/location services, google play, calender, maps, gmail etc etc on a non-activated phone? like, can i just use a wifi connection to access everything,,,,,except of course the actual phone function itself. iirc, when i first opened my maxx i had to startup with my gmail account....can this be done if the phone is not activated

My 7yr old daughter has an old Droid X for this purpose. She has movies, music and games.

Yes sure..You can use the non activated phone for doing any thing except calling and messaging.You can enjoy all the other services but only using wi-fi.
