Themed keyboard with wider keys?

Ive been having issues with any non stock keyboard on the Rezound being too small. The standard HTC on is a good size but I hate the layout. Ive tried all of the market keyboards I can find and they are all too small. Some you can adjust the height but not the width, which is my main problem.

any themed keyboard out there with wider keys or the same size as the HTC stocker but with a more ASOP layout?

How about a good tutorial on keyboard theming and Ill do it myself...

Theme'ing the keyboard isn't overly horrible. If you know how to decompile an APK then you're halfway home. This is it from a high level

Decompile LatinIME.apk (using the latest APKTool)
Swap/edit images in res/drawable-hdpi & res/drawable-xhdpi
Recompile
Sign
Drop in /system/app on your phone
Reboot.
