Customers on both AT&T and T-Mobile are reporting surprise "mandatory" patches that not only install themselves automatically, then reboots the phone as soon as they're done -- not cool if you were on an important call.

Some suspect it may be a touchscreen responsiveness problems that some G4 users have reported. Or perhaps a security exploit. As of now, we are not sure if this update is specific to TMO and AT&T or if other carriers and countries will eventually get the update. Hopefully, this kind of involuntary update doesn't become a habit. I know I would like to have the option to install or wait.

UPDATE
The update, according to T-Mobile, is “mandatory” and “improves software stability.” It rolls out as build H8111Oh and is apparently is 174.10MB in size.

On another forum a lot of posters were saying when they got the lollipop patch on their AT&T Note4 it did the same thing, just updated all by itself, but mine was voluntarily.
