The Beacon Of Light

I know this is the first Samsung Phone with a message light on it.

However I think they went overboard. At night it pulses so bright my room looks like it's been invaded by aliens. The light is way bigger and brighter than any normal notification light I've used.

Anyone know if there is a way to turn it down?

It's the opposite of the speaker - it certainly gets your attention! My guess is that this is something you might see later in a custom ROM. As for the night brightness problem, an app like Light Flow will let you suspend the LED during specified hours.

I noticed that too last night, I just put it face down and problem solved.

I only set my notifications for things I need to pay attention to, so if it goes off at night I'll know I need to take a look.

I put it face down also!

I just ordered a dock - hopefully it will not go on when docked.

Don't set it down outside at night. An airplane might try to land in your yard.
