texting music files

I'm trying to text a ringtone to my wifes non-droid phone. I have done this in the past with a different phone. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if its possible. I have astro file but the option I have is by email only. Is there a file manager that will permit this? Thanks for any help.

When you are in your messaging app, you can just hit the soft menu button and then attach>audio>choose your ringtone

I don't have that option. I have pictures, capture picture, video, capture video, record audio, slide show.

Right after capture video you don't have an audio option?

Nope. I guess I'm sh** outa luck. Tux though.

That is strange. Have you tried one of the third party messengers like handcent of chomp. They are both extremely customizable and I know the attach option there is also. It might be worth a try.
