tethering issues

Just rooted my droid x and downloaded the wireless tether from the google search. After I installed it, it gives me this message "kernel does not have all the necessary features for the access control feature of this application. access control will be disabled." can anyone help me out with this issue?

Did you even want access control? Unless you tell other people your password to your network or a bunch of hackers around, you don't really need it. Due to the X's bootloader I don't know if you can get a kernel that will support the access control you might have to look around the forums.
