system version 2.4

does anyone know when we will be getting an over the air update to system version 2.4. are 2.4.29 as the droid 2 global has i THINK the 2.4 the global has is a lot better software and was wondering when and if the regular droid 2 will get that system version update

There is currently no timeline on the next d2 ota although it will never be the same as the d2g, different phones get different updates. We may see another update before gingerbread but i'm not holding my breathe.

Only thing is I would love for the d2 to have the same camcorder build as the d2g the d2g camcorder gets all the time at once as to where the d2 breaks it down into 30 minute segaments when will the gingerbread be released?

No timeline on gingerbread either. Kind of a waiting game at this point.

Im gonna say I think there will almost definitely be a small maintenance update before gingerbread. And that you can expect gingerbread in march.
