Screen goes blank when plugged in

Should the screen go blank when plugged in - is there a way to change this?

If it turns off while charging, go to settings/applications/development and check stay awake.

Thank you - but is it possible for it to stay awake while charging while still going black when unplugged?

Yes just use that method and that's what if does...awake while charging and sleep when unplugged
