We have been hearing rumors that Samsung would announce the Galaxy S8 at their own private event in New York City in mid April, but a new report claims that the device will be indeed announced at Mobile World Congress as the Galaxy S lineup has been for the past several years. "The Investor" says that while the phone will be announced in February at the Barcelona event we won't be able to actually get our hands on the device for a month or two.

“Mass production is expected to begin in March, when Samsung will most likely roll out 5 million units of the S8.”

The thought behind this is that Samsung can gain much by showing off their new device early and hyping the release. Hopefully Samsung fans and those looking forward to the S8 will save their money to spend on the device when it releases in April if they know exactly what it is they have to look forward to. MWC begins February 27th so we won't have to wait too long to know for sure if we will see the device there.
