Samsung is using a new 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display that allows the phone itself to have a tablet-sized screen that can be folded to fit into a pocket. The main display is QXGA+ resolution (4.2:3), and when it’s folded, a smaller 4.6-inch HD+ (12:9) display is used for the phone mode. Samsung is using 512GB of Universal Flash Storage 3.0 (eUFS) for fast speeds, alongside a Qualcomm 7nm octa-core processor and 12GB of RAM. Samsung has even built two batteries for its Galaxy Fold, that are separated by the fold but combined in the Android operating system to represent a total of 4,380 mAh.

It's nice but I'd rather have it fold out to a regular size smart phone and be small in your pocket or on your hip. Hopefully someone will design one like that. The price is a little high but than again it's the first folding smartphone. I guess that's expected.

I see it as more inconvenience, hassle and prone to more technical failures. Also good luck getting a good case for it not even going to bother with screen protectors.

I don't care for the gap when folded. And I think a tri-fold is the way to go....because by my calculation, you can the get a true 16:9 display on what unfold to be @ 8" tablet.

Also, not buying a new phone that isn't 5G capable. I got no problem getting another year or two out of my phone

This phone might be good but the price is high. Let's wait and see when other smartphone companies launch their folding Smartphone.

The aspect ratio is all wrong. It needs to fold like moto razr. I don't want to go back to 1980s 4x3 screen dimensions...

Seriously - how do they manage to screw up the aspect ratio on BOTH screens/modes?
