It sounds like Samsung is planning on jumping into the Virtual Reality world soon. They just filed to get a trademark for something called a Gear VR. Obviously a patent/trademark filing doesn't really offer up too many details on their design. We would love to say reports have given a clue as to the details of the Gear VR, but there is not much out there just yet.
About the only thing we know is that it will supposedly depend on Samsung's next generation of smartphone products, as these will be required for Gear VR to work.
Just FYI... the rad looking Tron-like VR goggles shown above are simply an artistic concept render. *Sidebar - if Google Glass looked that cool, the product might actually do better.
