Samsung download is failing

A few times now my phone has started downloading a Samsung update and freezes part way through. I have waited hours and the download does not progress any further. I don't know what it is as it only displays "Samsung A.." as the name.
Does anyone know what this update is and why it might be failing to download?

Try going to the app manager - scroll to all and find the Samsung App app. clear the cache, force stop, restart and try again.

Thanks - Did that and the update is gone. Will see what happens when it tries to download it again. Did something similar last week and it also cleared the download. But then a few days later the download was attempted again and it froze once more. Do you have any idea what update this is?

You could try the same thing with the Google account and clear the cache on the Google Framework.

Mine has been doing this for a couple months or more -
It shows as 'SamsungApps' - for 4 apps.
While in wifi zone - touch to load it or do what ever - the screen goes to home screen - with nothing more to see.

As LEESHOR suggested - I'll try that -

When I did go there - I made sure I was signed in - made no difference.
When he's ready - I'll try the clear cache - etc.

Looking at all apps - there is no samsung app app, only -
samsung update - that matches icon in alert - handbag with handles.

note sync adp
a few others, oh well, phone work ok - we'll just wait further.
