So my SD card is inserted and I have the notification "SD card removed. Insert a new one."

I have removed the card and reinserted it. I'm running the Xeonon ROM. I still need to check if anything is on the SD card. I did have all my backups on it.

Any ideas would be helpful.

sd could have died, or a bug in the rom, possibly a bad flash of the rom... many possibilities

I would unmount if possible and put it into a card reader...then you will know for sure..If the card reader recognizes (backup to PC) ..

Then go about troubleshooting...ROM //Kernel ..etc....

So sorry to hear that. Use something like SugraSync or Syncplicity to get the backups backed up. Don't trust just one location for the important stuff.
