I am on Liberty 2.01 right now... How do I get to Liberty Gingerbread? Any help would be awesome.

1. SBF back to stock FroYo .340
2. Root and install DROID 2 BOOTSTRAP (Not X)
3. Download the Part 1 and Part 2 files and follow instructions on how to install them here: Download: Official DROIDX Gingerbread 4.5.596 for Rooted Users - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
4. Install LGB.

If you don't know how to do any of that just ask and we'll elaborate.

I think you can go directly from 4.5.596 GB to 0.8 through the Donate version of the Liberty Toolbox. Download it through the toolbox then install it with Bootstrap

EDIT: Someone please correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't actually done this

Once you are on .596, you can jump directly to the latest Liberty.

and i can even restore a back up? or do i have to have a clean install?

Depends on the backup, but either way I'd do a clean install. You have to do a data wipe/factory reset when you install 0.8 to avoid huge and unpredictable issues anyway.
