Question on contact icons .

Hi,
I am wondering how to change the contact associated with those small contact icons that appear on the screen. i want to change from one contact to another for one of them. There are 3 of them on the screen and then one that has a button to "select contact" . It seems there is no way to change them to another contact and I think removing the contact icon deletes the contact (I may be wrong on that).

So wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I am not sure even what the name of these things are. They don't seem to be part of a contact group.

I am obviously new to this phone so I appreciate any help.

First, deleting the icon will not delete your contact.

Long press on an empty spot on your screen. Choose Widgets from the list that pops up. Choose 'Contact quick tasks'. it will walk you through the set up.

If that does't work the way you like, or you don't have the screen space to spare for the buttons (they can be resized after they are created), then check out 'Call Widget' in the Market. I prefer it to the 'Contact quick task' widget.

You create a 'Call Widget' the same way you do the other.
