Picture messaging problems....

hey guys new to the site, sorry if this has been posted before, but i have been getting problems when recieving picture messages with sound. When i click on the picture that has a play button, it opens up and just plays the sound and does not show the picture. Im sorry if this is a stupid question but is this normal or should i go to the store to see whats wrong>? any ideas?

EDIT: should prob mention that i have a motorola droid
