We have had some hints of this device for a few months now, but it looks like we have an official pic and name as well as a few more details. Panasonic will be bringing out its first smartphone for Europe, and its official name is the Eluga. While the name might be a stretch to get your head around, the aesthetics of the phone are pretty attractive, and what little specs are known of the device seem worthy:
  • Waterproof & dustproof
  • 4.3" qHD 960 x 540 OLED display
  • NFC
  • Super-light 103g design
  • Will supposedly operate as a remote control for Panasonic HDTVs
The version of Android and the CPU specs of the phone, as well as a few other details, are still unknown at this time, but we will keep you guys informed as soon as we know more. More than likely that will be sometime next week, because we expect the device to launch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at that time.

It looks like a stereotypical cheap consumer electronic.

Eluga doesn't look "Ugalee", but sounds so.
