Overlclocking questions/answers! Droid x at 1380MHz Bleeding limit!

So i've been overclocking my droid x for a while now and well. i am confident i know the ins and outs of overclocking with this device =) anything past 1400Mhz makes the device slow to a crawl!

If anyone has questions on how i got my droid to 1380MHz just ask =) Most of you may not care enough and not that into it. but from 1000MHz to 1380MHz there is a BIG difference in smoothness and speed of apps opening. The browser begins loading the page faster, pages are shown quicker. Temps are low and volts don't go over 70 =) battery life is better then stock!

Also i found another thing interesting.. on Droid Overclock it sets the max volts when choosing ULV to 80.. there's no need for that much. Or maybe i just got a really good droid x. Anyways questions are welcomed =D

My preset in Droid Overclock is as follows

Slot 1 freg/min: 300000
Slot 1 volt: 15 :icon_eek:

Slot 2 freg: 500000
Slot2 volt: 33

Slot 3 freg: 800000
Slot 3 volt: 42

Slot 4 freg/max: 1380000 dancedroid
slot 4 volt: 66 =)

now the only thing i have not done is lower volts on slots 2 and 3 to save more power! The CPU in this device takes the most power.. lowering the volts it does't need really saves battery. That and thanks to Rubix Focused 2.0.1!!!

Now your Droid X may not behave the save as mine did!!!!!! Keep this in mind

DO NOT TAKE THESE SETTINGS, PUT THEM ON YOUR PHONE AND EXPECT THEM TO WORK. aka calling me a liar.

My point of making this thread is because i want to see what other people have done. Show me your overclocks using Rubix Focused 2.0.1!!!

i can push mine to 1450 and mine doesnt slow down or turtle much faster but heat builds quickly though. I might have the volts on it too high but idk i dont like going over 1.2 @ 60.

I could set my old dx that high with no problems but the one I have now will go up to in 1300s area but I rarely overclock just undervolt for battery

Mine seems to run really cool. Not hot at all. But there's that limit of 1400. i swear i set it to 1399 and it does't hang lol. But the frequency changes a few here and there from time to time. It's not always exactly 1380. So if i left it at 1399 it would freeze and lockup entirely after a while. Same as overclocking with a computer.

I run mine at 1.22ghz at 58 vesl runs faster and saves battery. I get two days out of my DX with moderate-frequent use

Yup not all are equal.

I ran mine at a constant 1.45Ghz medium voltage and it ran like a champ no issues at all.

I have mine set @:

_300000 @ 21
_800000 @ 44
1000000 @ 55
1200000 @ 65

The interesting thing is if I undervolt too much it actually sends the temperature soaring. The best benchmark scores happen at the lowest stable voltages though. Albeit, running hot.

Yup. Now Ive got my TB running Drod's 1.8 kernel and Im running constant @ 1.50ghz, completely stable and the phone screams.

I ran it for a day at 1.8ghz, did pretty good but got maybe 1-2 reboots during the day.

My DX would get somewhat warm every now and then, my TB running at 1.5ghz doesnt at all :)
