Overclocking...new to this..

I just rooted my Droid X and I am trying to overclock it. I dont know what settings I need to use an such? I dont know alot about this so everything is helpfull... every time i try and change the settings i do it and then i go to send a text message and my phone freezes.. any help?

are you using the droid overclock app from jrummy? also how high are you clocking it?

no from unstable apps.. and now im running it on the stock that the app came on..
