I have an HTC rezound and when i try to update from 2.3.4 it downloads the up update but once it reboots all i get is a red triangle with an exclamation point inside of it, I tried restarting the phone only to have it happen again so i tried a factory data reset and the problem still continues. I also tried downloading the update via wifi instead of the mobile network.(its the 7.1 mb update if that helps) I just dont know what to do at this point verizon said to just do a factory data reset but thats not working.
