Ok wt is going on??

My DROID pro is starting to freeze up all the time now. I take the battery out atleast 6 times a day. Is the gingerbread update going to fix this??!

I have no issues whatsoever with the gingerbread OTA. I would install the update.zip OTA and see if it fixes your issues.

If you still experience issues after updating (I don't think you will), then worst case scenario do a factory reset after updating to gingerbread.

Here is a novice question: does this work on unrooted phone, or does one need to be rooted to put this where it needs to be / run it?

I believe the OTA is for unrooted phones. That is the actual Verizon OTA
