My friend has a galaxy phone but it doesn't have the little led on the front of the phone. Is there an app that lights up a few pixels on the screen instead when the phone is on standby?

Look up NoLed in the market. It probably would be a big battery drain if you fail to look at the screen often though because it would leave the screen on.

If you root your phone there in a hack that will light up just one pixel on the screen and it changes each time so you don't get pixel burn out. I read about it on xda forums. Them guys be hacking for dayzzzzz
