does the Droid have a note pad feature? my bb had one that I used all the time, but I can't seem to find one on my droid...?

U can find an app on the Market Place called Note Pad. There are free and paid ones.

color note is free and allows your to post a note on your home screen like a post it on your monitor or the fridge, pretty useful

NoteEverthing (paid) here. Perhaps my favorite application. Does so many things well from text notes to captions of photos, to "paint" notes, to recorded notes, to checklists...Integrates well with google docs. All in all an excellent piece of software, well supported.

Google now has google tasks especially for Android that you can use to make notes or create task lists. Check it out, it's from Google and it's kinda cool.

There is also an awesome app called gtasks that integrates with and some of the pure calendar widgets.

This by far is my favorite option
