No Gmail notifications?

I've noticed on my D2G I have a gmail notification for about 2 to 3 minutes then it goes away, i didn't have this problem on my droid 1, incredible, or droid X can anyone help me out with this? This is the only annoyance I'm having with this hardware.

Try downloading a substitute. I use Gmail Notifier which is free on the market. It allows you to customize things like led color and blinking as well as vibration settings.

Make sure you go into your Gmail app and then settings and disable notifications so you won't be getting notified twice.

I did do that already, I just learned that was there when I was trying to get the original to work right. I love that my email now gives a blue LED instead of green, now I know text from email without having to look. Thanks again, great app I never knew about.
