My DROID is acting up

Yesterday in my notifications panel I had an "update" icon. So I flipped it down to check it out and there was no application attached to it. It just said "update" and it had already been installed. Since then, my phone has shut off, wouldnt charge, and required a battery pull. Now it wont let me access certain apps, when I make a phone call it lags about 20 seconds then puts the call through. What is going on? I have "lookout" the mobile security suite. Any ideas??

Mobile Security.....Its a comfort app is all it is. Not needed.

of course I do..but backing up the data is not the topic of this thread...I am trying to get some good insight as to what may be wrong with my phone before I go to VZW.

Un-install the crap you put on it and see if it works like normal again....

I would uninstall the security suite for starters, what other apps do you have installed?

Anything on there that has been known to cause Droids to mess up? Most of the Apps i get have been raved about on these forums!

Sounds like a software glitch. Just hard reset it and it should fix any issues you have.

Yes they are. Ive done a factory reset and it backs up everything.

You have ton a apps, think back to the last app(s) you installed before the issue started and uninstall them. See if the problem goes away. That's probably the best way to troubleshoot the problem.

The phone is acting normal now! I wonder why it was acting all buggy. Oh well, I will keep my eye out for anything suspicious in the future! Thanks everyone for your help. Oh, it took 2 battery pulls and an on/off cycle to get it normal. The crazy thing about this whole thing, is my wifes did this last night at about 1am..mine started around the same time, but hers was normal within in hour. Took mine almost 12. I was thinking it was some type of silent update..maybe not
