magnifying glass button press/hold doesnt work, how come?

Hi all. Droid user here. Got the froyo update today. Downloaded the google voice search app...
Before the update, a press and hold on magnifying glass button would bring up voice search. Now it doesnt do it anymore. How can i get this press/hold feature back???

Mine still brings up the voice search and I downloaded the voice app and widget...

Sometimes the voice search process hangs. Does it still not work after a reboot?

Anyway, voice search has been updated. Go to the market and find "Voice Search" by google and install it. Super duper cool!

Voice Search and Google Search.

I thought one was called widget at some point ....
