Liberty v0.8 and oreo slice. need assistance

So I just installed the oreo slice theme on my phone and I love it. The only thing I dont like is that I can use adw launcher now. Is anyone else having that problem? I went to the customizer and selected adw twice, rebooted, and both times it stayed launcher2. I like being able to customize with adw. anyone have any solutions other than uninstalling oreo slice.

Will the Oreo Slice for .7 even work on .8? I love that theme, but was afraid it would not be compatible with .8...

There is a .8 version but you van only use it with launcher2. It wont work with adw and we all know that the blur launcher doesn't work on v.8
