Keyboard Backlight Issues

    Same problem here. Very inconsistent. Still love the phone.

    They said the keyboard back light issue was fixed with the last update. I believe there words were " it will light when it needs to" or something close to that... how do they know when I need my keyboard lights on??? I do not see much of a difference at all... how about a user adjustable setting.... so I can determine when my keyboard lights are on..... hopefully this will be in the ICS update....

    Thanks for the info.

    I have tried screen filter. It has a setting for backlights on but it does not seem to work on the droid 4 ( not rooted)

    No option for the light sensor in the ics leak...

    Well that's disappointing news.... This will probably just be another aggravating thing they never get right........ I think i can do it if I root but I am not ready to do that yet....

    backlight issue solved?

    Well I think I have this back light thing figured out. I put a tiny piece of black electricians tape over the sensor, which is located next to the letter 'a' of Motorola on my Droid 4. And now after sliding the keyboard up and waiting for a few seconds, it seems to stay on. I am hopefully optimistic for now....What a pain this has been. Geez
