jelly bean gallery question

Hi.
I recently upgraded to jelly bean. Now the gallery is mixing photos with videos. It also groups them by album.....so basically i cant find anything easily because i have no clue which album anything is in and i have to sift thru each album until i find what i want. Does anyone know if there's a way to accomplish the following in the gallery or an alternative app
1. Separate pics from videos
2. List all without grouping into albums
3. Sort by date

I suggest you dump Gallery as you are not the only one with similar issues. Try QuickPic. I'm pretty certain it will do all you need/want.
