Is it possible to have swype as my software keyboard, while using word prediction and spell check of the HTC ported keyboard?

I've been playing around with both, but can't seem to get them working together.

IIRC, it's a function of the specific keyboard you're using. You'll have to wait until Swype integrates this feature.

Thank you for your reply. Am I understanding correctly that Swype plans on letting us use two keyboards at a time? i.e. Swype for the software keyboard, while using the HTC keyboard for the hardware qwerty? This would be great, as I still like to use my hardware keyboard.

I hate having to choose to choose one or the other at the moment. I use both software and hardware qwerty equally, and the both the built in android keyboard and swype don't seem to have hardware spell check and prediction, like the HTC keyboard does.

That's what I would like also - I love the HTC keyboard but I want to use the Swype functionality at times...
