They do have internet over there . And if you're having problems with your connection I heard they have a lot of help desk specialists

verizon has stopped the out of country rental thing, and if i leave my data connection on its 2$ a min and they charge for every megabyte of data such as emails, i had thought of putting it in plane mode and just using wifi but it seems easier just to rent one while i am there, not sure yet cus i have never been there before

I went from (pre-order days) asking a few of the dumbest questions ever; then trying to figure out how to turn on the durn thing; to now being rooted, overclocked and smoked thanks ENTIRELY to this forum! The most friendly and helpful forum I've ever been on.

In the process I've learned that my droid is so much more than a cell phone; it's actually a laptop in my pocket. Oh - even better than that, It'll provide a wifi hotspot to laptops nearby. I was at Wake Forest yesterday moving my daughter home for the summer and she was complaining about having to pay $4 for wifi at a local Starbucks. I laughed and said you should have a droid instead of your storm.
