Is swiping between homescreens supposed to be choppy ?

I tried the v1 11.19 release of this ROM for the first time. It's the best looking ROM, but swiping b/w screens was choppy on my DROID 1 OCed to 1 GHz. Was using chhevy's kernel.

yes. it's actually a feature built into MIUI that has been added for a bit of nostalgia. most of us here prefer laggy home screens to nice fluid moments as well as glitchy looking window transitions...

no. if i were you i would try flashing some different kernels, adding the redraw fix, lowering the vm heap size, wiping your dalvik cache(s), cleaning your home screen of only necessary widgets.
