I just got this great new Droid X and I really want to get rid of unwanted apps. But when I go into my setting and manage my apps, I'll get to the default app that I want to get rid of but the uninstall button will not light up so I can press it. Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You have to be rooted to uninstall those apps....though actually uninstalling them isn't recommended.

I'm talking about BS apps like blockbuster and Amazon mp3 apps. How would I be able to be root user?
