That's the reason you pay what you pay, a phone without good coverage might as well be a paperweight in your pocket.

Exactly, I also have a pretty nice setup because im on a plan with my aunt with the 6gb pool because it was the same price as our unlimited plan. She uses around 500mb per month and I get the rest for the $50 per month I payed as a secondary unlimited line.

this would be an easier decision if the service wasn't so good but for now I'm sticking w Verizon.. although I'm in NYC tmo phones have certain issues and att is about the same price anyway. sprint sucks. so sticking with what I know works great

I had decided I was not going to sign another contact with Verizon, because I didn't want to lose my unlimited data. But I'm not a huge data hog (usually 3 to 4 GB/month), so when I found out about the "Max" plan ($30/month for 6GB - but only available to current unlimited data customers) I re-upped for 2 years and got a Moto X for $199. Oh well.

YEP, if they drop my unlimited plan I presently have

Don't vary far from large towns that all have several national carriers. Should VZN drop my unlimited at some point in time, that will be enough for me to give up on them.

If you were a well-behaved (Lol!) mobile data user like I was for over 3 years with Verizon, they might mail you this offer:

I was one of the people who took advantage of but never abused my unlimited. I never tethered but routinely used 15-20gb a month. What else was a homeschooled teen to do besides watch netflix and troll the best forum on the Internet? :D

Yep, that's the "Max" plan I was referencing in my response 2 posts above yours.

I will keep my unlimited until they pry it from my hands.

All Carriers are afraid of users who try to run a small data center using their personal wireless mobile data connection. Personally, I average a little over 2GB/month. Highest was under 5GB.

I average around 4gb to 5 GB a month so when I go to get a new phone if they dnt offer me something good then I am going to have to pay a lot or switch to another carrier

You (like me) are a prime candidate for the "Max" plan. 6GB for the same $30/month that you're paying now - except now you can upgrade to a new phone at the subsidized price.
