Hey guys, I have been looking all day for a solution to this issue. I would just like to install the original ROM for the OG droid. I bought this phone from a friend and am on Win7, but an also linux savvy. I tried using RSD Lite and using a .sbf file, but it failed to reed an .ini file. I can boot the phone into recovery mode and potentially install a ROM from the SD card. The easiest solution for me would to be just installing the original ROM for the phone, but I can't seem to find a valid download.

Any Help?

Thanks!

you need the march 2011 OTA update.zip

you need the ota file. google march 2011 droid ota update.zip
put that phone on your sd card in place of the file called
update.zip which youll find on the root (not
in a folder, just there) once of your SD card.
once you do that youll want to reboot into recovery.
(power off the droid or pull the battery out then pop it back in.
slide the droid open and press and hold the right directional pad and x.
still holding them press and hold power until the m appears but do not
let go of x and right. when the recovery menu comes up select
install update.zip and voila. no root, no nothing, factory fresh

i have the file on my sd, maybe i can do a yousendit link
here.

Yes, I finally found a download of the original rom. Or an unrooted version if you will. The problem I was having is that every download I tried was dead.

Thanks!!!
