I see what you mean now. These are meant to handle temperatures that we would consider way too hot. This is true, the battery does take longer to heat up and cool down. As I'm sure you know the battery is rated a bit lower than the cpu. But that does not mean that it gets as hot as the cpu does. I have decided to give this a test here in a few hours to see how difficult it is to get the battery close to its max rated temp. I have a spare and I'm going to be making a battery temp failsafe of 122 degrees F. I think its rated somewhere around there.
