Increase in battery usage on latest Maps update? v.6.8.0

Curious if anyone else notices increased battery consumption on this latest update. It's not killing the battery but it's showing up as #2 or 3 when I haven't touched anything that would use it. Definitely related to the latest update.

Try force closing it and see if it starts back up.
I have found with Maps, and some other apps, I need to reboot my device for the apps to work right after an update. I write that because I rarely reboot my Android devices except when something acts up or I notice a sudden drop in battery life vs the average.

Any change? My Defy+ was saying maps used 35% of battery even though maps wasn't loaded :-/ GPS was active though - indoors, weak but usable signal.
