Unfortunately European providers again got it done to disable Google Maps Navigation. GM is still accessible and a route is processed, but no navigation.

Lets wait what Xmas brings

Tigger why is Google so hell-bent to disable navigation outside the US? bandwidth issues?

They say its a copyright problem. But nothing sure right now. Maybe motorola is traying to sell their own pay navigation software called motonav....dunno

Probably something to do with licensing the maps outside of the US.

i though i read somewhere before ( i think on google maps start up ) that it is currently only available to US since its in BETA still

I think one important reasons is that StreetView is not available in a big part of Europe !

THIS has NOTHING to do with street view. We had google maps navigation running already and you can access google maps still with all layers. But they closed NAVIGATION, and that has something to do with motorola, willing to sell their own navigations for huge prices.
