There's an app in the market that does the same thing its called SD Increase. Its really does make it faster.

Dude you are totally right. I just installed that app and increased it from 128k to 4096k and my pic's loaded in a heartbeat. Problem is it doesn't save. When I restart the app it is back to 128

That happened to me the first time I used the app. Try fixing permissions than restart your phone. Should make it stick than.

Just curious....the app says 2096 is best results....but I could set to 4096.....why not that?

All I can say is test it for yourself. Get the app SD Tools and than run the speed test. Change the value and see what's best for you. I currently have mine at at 2048, seems to work best for my Droid.

If you do the tweak like listed in your linked post (you may have already) then it will stick on reboot. I think that is the same that tweak that I linked you to in your SPB or whichever post. Mine has the best speed at 2048KB.
