How do I get rid of Apps I hate?

ok so I've already downloaded some stinker apps that I know i will never use.

How do i go and delete these? Dragging to the trash can only seems to work for stuff on my home pages.

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and select whatever you want to remove and click uninstall. You can also uninstall in the market.
