Name is Bill Smith (yea I know, no one ever believes) and I have been poking about here for the last couple of months. I purchased a Droid 3 many months ago after my 3rd Blackberry finally bit the dust. The last one I had was absolutely the worst phone from them ever! Now that I am on Android I am glad it died. Been patiently waiting for Motorola/Verizon to either update this thing (D3) or unlock it like so many others are. I did root the thing first day I purchased it but decided to wait before hacking on it. Finally got tired of waiting and Friday I finally decided to load the Maverick V4.5 ROM. Went pretty smooth overall and it is like a new phone! So here comes another noob 
with questions and I want to thank you all in advance for the help you have already given me (unknowingly) and for any help in the future. To the devs that created the Maverick ROM I admire your work! :hail: I imagine the other ROMs are quite good as well and I may yet try some others while I wait for Hash and others to hopefully get ICS running on the D3. After messing with this over the weekend, I am sure there is much unlocked potential in this phone. Just removing all that bloatware has shown to me a glimmer of what is possible! :icon_ banana:
