Hay all. Looking for a new Phone. I have lived in Japan for the last 4 years( Active Navy) and getting ready tome back to the states. So any all help is great dancedroid

Welcome! Thanks for your service. I was in the Navy. We made it to several ports in Japan.

There are several excellent phones currently available. Things to consider:
Primary use (email,txt,browsing)
Do you need/want a physical keyboard?
Is the size of the screen important.

My best advice when you get back to the USA go to a VZW store. Spend an hour playing with several. See how each one feels. It is a personal decision so what ever phone you choose you will have fun. Don't forget VZW has a 30 day return policy (restock fee apply)

I have been doing a lot or reserch and i really like teh Droid X and my wife find teh Keybord to be a big deal so teh Droid 2 is for here. but i will defently do as you sugest and play with it befor i but i have to order it off line to get all my discounts for being in the Navy. on teh topic of teh Navy thank you for your service also. getting close to retirement. My wife sent me a iPhone 3G and i hate it more and more each day. ituns sucks looking foward for a Droid.
