Just noticed that Google Maps was updated in the Marketplace and now includes Multi-touch and a few other features.

Or was this already announced? I know there was already a thread about it but I was pretty sure that people had to install the new update just like people had to install the 2.1 launcher.

Anyways, if you go to the marketplace, google maps has been updated. =D

    Check it out!

I don't know if it was included on this update but tonight I noticed that it also switches to night mode at night when using navigation

installed earlier today, finally got time to mess around with it.

still not crazy about pinch-zoom, but i can see it being helpful at some point.

as for night mode, haven't seen it yet.

    (messing around with now)

The previously downloadable version was buggy, caused me to crash and it was an issue sometimes having two versions of maps on the phone. This update works smooth as butter with some much appreciated features and updates. You can now have direct nav to buttons on locations displayed on the maps, better traffic layers, a my location button, night mode, direction/heading and more.
